The Scoreoid Story
Scoreoid was born when founder Almog Koren couldn’t find a satisfactory answer to creating leaderboards, game achievements, player management and analytics for the various games and applications he was developing for himself and his clients. Rather than re-inventing a backend for each app, Almog wanted a generic solution. He realized the best solution would be cloud-based, to allow a set of API calls that would be truly cross platform, so that each game developer could call the resources they needed, whether it was a leaderboard, management solutions, engagement statistics, notifications, or other game-oriented services.
Almog Koren / Founder
Almog Koren, in his role as company founder, is responsible for the Scoreoid product and vision, the Scoreoid community, marketing and continues to help with development on the Scoreoid client side.
Almog is an interactive developer & designer with an Associates Degree in Interactive Media. He specializes in Flash, Adobe AIR, JavaScript, Interactive Games and Mobile. Almog has created several successful interactive games for fortune 500 companies including Nokia and Bayer. Before Scoreoid Almog founded “Almog Design” an established interactive studio based in Tel Aviv, which provided development and design solutions for Fortune 500 companies. Almog is a featured speaker at industry events, an Adobe Community Professional and writer who contributes to magazines and blogs such as: IGDA, FlashTuts, Develop and Casual Connect.
Chen Fisher / Co-Founder
Chen Fisher, in his role as company co-founder is responsible for backend development, infrastructure and scalability.
Chen is an entrepreneur with vast experience in both business and technology. He has founded and managed successful companies in the Israeli market, has BSc with honors in computer science, an MBA in finance. Chen is an enthusiastic technologist with great experience in Big data, scaling applications and open source technologies such as: Ruby on Rails, AngularJS, MongoDB, nodeJS, Redis and much more. Chen is a contributor and activist in the open source community.
Yanki Margalit / Chairman
Yanki Margalit is an Israeli entrepreneur and speaker best known for starting Aladdin Knowledge Systems.
Yanki Margalit is an Israeli entrepreneur, the founder and X CEO for Aladdin Knowledge Systems. Yanki is currently Chairman of SpaceIL, a non-profit space technology organization competing for the Google Lunar X Prize, Scoreoid and Screemo. He is also a partner in Innodo, a seed investment fund.
